Construction of batch and cullet transport system

Two new steel structures were constructed for the purpose of installing new technological equipment, i.e. annex to existing structure and superstructure above existing production hall

Execution of works was divided into construction of structures and technological part of batch and cullet transport system.

 

Two new steel structures were constructed for the purpose of installing new technological equipment, i.e. annex to existing structure and superstructure above existing production hall.

 

Work was demanding, because extremely small space was available for installation, works were executed at heights, adjustments to existing conditions were required.

 

Execution of works took course partially during production, and partially during general overhaul of furnace, which is why extra amount of coordination and adjustments with other work contractors were required.

 

Technological part of the project comprised:

  • supply and installation of batch silo and cullet silo,
  • modification of existing scraper conveyors and elevator,
  • supply and erection of substructure for batch and cullet transport system,
  • installation of complete technological equipment for batch and cullet transport,
  • execution of corresponding electrical installations,
  • commissioning of equipment.

 

Works were performed within agreed deadlines, final technical inspection was conducted on time, occupancy permit was obtained and undisturbed start-up of production was ensured.
