Flue gas desulphurization system in TPP Ugljevik handed over to the employer

After successfully completed trial run, the flue gas desulphurization (FGD) system was handed over to the employer in October 2020

Management of the mine and Thermal power plant Ugljevik said that this is now the cleanest thermal power plant in the country in terms of SO2 emissions and particles.

 

Rudis constructed the FGD system for 300MW Thermal power plant Ugljevik as a member of the Consortium with Japanese and German partner Mitsubishi Power from the middle of 2016 onward.

In the first half of 2021, Rudis will complete works on construction of continuous gypsum and ash transport from Thermal power plant to landfill and plant for optimization of internal limestone transport on the basis of signed annexes to the main contract.  

With construction of the FGD system, operational lifespan of TPP Ugljevik will be extended for 20 years and will operate in compliance with European ecological standards.
