RUDIS completed overhaul of generator in HPP Zadlaščica
Two generators are in operation in HPP Zadlaščica, which has been in operation since 1989. Three-phase brushless synchronous generators operate with contact excitation system.
The generator was handed over for regular operation at the end of September, which now allows safe and reliable operation of the hydropower plant in the next decade.
This year, overhaul of generator 1 was performed for the first time with the main objective of thorough cleaning, checking the status of equipment, checking the compliance of operation with specifications and performing any remedial work in order to ensure further safe and reliable operation.
The company RUDIS successfully commissioned the generator after completion of contract works, vibration measurements and balancing the turbine-generator.
HPP Zadlaščica is locally automated, but it is also possible to control it remotely from the regional control system of Soške elektrarne Nova Gorica.
Its speciality is the dual function of the plant, which serves both to generate electricity, as well as to supply drinking water for the wider area of Tolmin.
