Solar power plant BLATE produced its first kWh of electrical energy

Rated power of the power plant is 1,5 MW(p) and it will produce 1.704 MWh of electrical energy annually, which suffices to supply approximately 400 households

The first flow of electrical energy from solar power plant BLATE was transmitted to the network on 7 July 2022..

Ground-mounted solar power plant Blate is located on former opencast mine Rudnik Trbovlje – Hrastnik above Hrastnik and it is one of the largest solar power plants in Slovenia. 2.600 monocrystalline panels with rated power 600 W and total surface area 6.500 m2, as well as 13 diverters are installed in the solar power plant.

All produced electrical energy will be transmitted to the Slovenia's electricity distribution network.

Solar power plant Blate will contribute significantly to reducing environmental pollution, namely by reducing CO2 emissions for 835 tonnes.
